1,352 Media Permits Issued to Cover Hajj

With its continuous efforts to support the 2018 Hajj Season, the General Commission for Audiovisual Media confirmed that it has issued over 1,352 media permits so far to the filming and broadcasting community, for on-the-field coverage of the Holy Places across air, land, and sea.

More than 32,000 Employees Offering Health and Emergency Services to Hajj Pilgrims

The General Authority for Statistics has announced on its website today, that the manpower offering health and emergency services to the pilgrims has reached over 32,579 individuals. In addition to manpower from the security and military sectors — 9,216 of the 32,579 are female employees from the Ministry of Health, The Red Crescent Authority and The Saudi Food and Drug Authority.

More than a Million Pilgrims Transported on 1,000 Train Trips

According to the General Authority for Statistics’ website today, the Authority for the Development of the Makkah Region (MRDA) has worked diligently on preparing the train to the Holy Places for the 2018 Hajj transporting millions of pilgrims on more than a thousand trips during 7 days. They have also prepared 9 stations in various locations like Mina, Arafah and Muzdalifah and have facilitated foot traffic by utilizing 60 doors for entrances and exits.
